This year’s edition of SPOD dedicated special attention to the innovators making sustainable palm oil the norm. Together with Wageningen University Research and the Sustainable Palm Oil Choice, SPOD hosted an Innovation Fair and a special session on innovations.
The Innovation Fair offered individuals, NGOs, academics and businesses the opportunity to present their ideas to an expert audience as well as network with academia and industry decision-makers for the chance to bring their idea to reality. Make sure to meet these innovators during the conference!

In the summer period, we received various submissions of a wide range of actors. On behalf of SPOD, WUR and SPOC, we would like to thank all the organisations and companies for their submissions. From these 23 applications, 8 innovators were selected to showcase their ideas during the Innovation Fair next to the preselected innovations. The members of the Sustainable Palm Oil Choice (SPOC) Advisory Committee and Wageningen University Research selected the best innovations based on several criteria.
