Leony is the Landscapes and Partnerships Lead at the Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA), hosted by the World Economic Forum, based in Geneva, Switzerland. She leads TFA’s work to mobilise private sector action by engaging global actors and creating space to build collaborations within and between industry platforms, manufacturers, retailers, traders, CSOs, donors, and development partners. Leony also manages the Jurisdictional Action Network of 1,200+ professionals advancing the use of landscape and jurisdictional approaches to achieve a forest positive future at scale.

Leony began her career as a journalist for The Jakarta Post and Bloomberg News, before expanding as a communications professional focused on understanding and promoting sustainability and forest narratives that resonate in developing countries like Indonesia. Since 2016, she has centered her work on the jurisdictional approach as a way to translate and align global ambitions with local priorities and create sustained and inclusive sustainable land use through multi-stakeholder processes and collaboration.

Leony is a co-founder of Hutan itu Indonesia (Forests are Indonesia), a movement that invites and enables urban youth to take action for Indonesia’s forests. She enjoys long walks in nature and belting out 90’s songs with friends in her spare time.
