About SPOD

The Europe Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue (SPOD) is an annual event that unites industry leaders, NGOs and other stakeholders to advance sustainable practices in the palm oil sector. Now in its seventh year, SPOD is typically co-hosted with different partner organisations and held in various countries across Europe, reflecting the region’s diverse engagement, influence and demand for sustainable palm oil.

At SPOD, participants gain timely insights into the European market, the evolution of RSPO Standards, best practices and research and how these contribute to global goals like the UN SDGs and the Paris Agreement. The event fosters dialogue around traceability, smallholder inclusion, human and labour rights, and the latest tools and initiatives driving the sector forward.

With a strong focus on dialogue, SPOD offers a unique space to connect with experts, understand on-the-ground realities, and explore Europe’s role in advancing a more transparent and sustainable palm oil supply chain.
