Aritta is a researcher in Wageningen University and Research, with the main research theme on sustainable ecosystem management. She obtained her PhD from Wageningen University in 2016 with thesis topic on sustainable ecosystem and landscape management. Part of her current research topic is socio-ecological aspect of sustainable oil palm and palm oil production. She firmly connects the ecosystem service concept to improve the ecological condition of the palm oil plantation at various management practices and integrated this concept to find alternative livelihood for local people involved directly and indirectly in this sector. She has acquired several projects with various partners in promoting sustainable oil palm and has published many scientific publications in the field of sustainable ecosystem and landscape management.
