Bastian Semmel studied law and worked for several years as an attorney on issues relating to the energy sector. Since 2021, he is a Desk Officer at the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and is responsible for sustainability issues, including the 2030 Agenda and certified palm oil. In this role, he also works closely with the German Forum for Sustainable Palm Oil.
