Indra Van Gisbergen has been working with Fern for over ten years. She is a lawyer by training and was a solicitor at the Bar of Brussels specialized in human rights, refugee and migration law. She has long experience working NGOs focusing on social and environmental justice and corporate accountability especially in Africa. Many years she worked with Fern on the FLEGT action plan with an emphasis on collaboration with partners in the Congo Basin on the implementation of the VPAs. Currently she is part of Fern’s consumption team involved in EU policymaking tackling deforestation in supply chains of forest risk commodities.
