Veronique has broad international experience having worked for the past 20 years on sustainable development for both the private sector and NGOs. She was based in Malaysia working on climate change and the Kyoto flexible mechanisms for EcoSecurities and based in Gabon working for WWF on REDD+ in the Congo Basin and on public–private partnerships. She joined Proforest in 2013 and has since led the delivery of multi- stakeholder programmes including the Smallholder Partnership Programme, support RSPO on developing their Independent Smallholder Standard and the design of a landscape programme where companies and local government work on sustainable palm production in Siak and Pelalawan, Indonesia. Since 2021 she is leading Proforest work on Company Collaboration. Veronique is fluent in Dutch, English and French, and holds a Masters in Law and Environmental Studies.
