Dr. Rizal Affandi Lukman

Dr. Rizal Affandi Lukman currently serves as the Secretary General of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) and as a Senior Advisor to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. In this role, he focuses on strengthening foreign economic partnerships.
Previously, Dr. Lukman was the Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, where he coordinated and harmonized government policies related to international economic cooperation in multilateral, regional, and bilateral forums. During his tenure, he was appointed Indonesia’s Sherpa to the G20 from 2016 to 2021 and served as the Indonesia B20 Sherpa during the Indonesian Presidency of the G20 in 2022.
Under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s administration, Dr. Lukman worked at the Presidential Palace Office as Assistant to the President’s Private Secretary. He also represented Indonesia as a Senior Official in numerous bilateral cooperation frameworks with countries such as Japan, China, South Korea, Russia, and Singapore, and participated in regional and sub-regional cooperation efforts, including APEC, ASEAN, IMT-GT, and BIMP-EAGA. Additionally, he has experience as a commissioner in various state-owned enterprises, including PT. Krakatau Wajatama, PT. Pertamina Hulu Energy, and Perum Peruri.
Dr. Lukman has published various articles in academic journals on topics such as economic affairs, poverty and inequality, monetary policy, finance, and management. He is also an active speaker at various domestic and international workshops and seminars.
