Josil Murray is a Value Chain Expert with the Technical Facility for Deforestation-free Value Chains at the European Forest Institute (EFI), based in Barcelona. Her work focuses on advancing deforestation-free commodity supply chains, with particular interest in smallholder inclusion, and EUDR preparedness. Since joining EFI in 2022, she has supported governments, producer organizations, companies, and development partners to strengthen traceability, legality, and sustainability across agricultural value chains.

With 20 years of international experience, Josil has worked on forest governance, sustainable commodity supply chains, and conservation across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Prior to EFI, she spent seven years with the FAO in Bangkok, contributing to regional initiatives on sustainable forestry, responsible value chains, and natural resource governance. Her experience spans forest-risk commodities including palm oil, timber, coffee, and rubber, supporting diverse public and private sector efforts to build more sustainable and resilient supply chains.
