Marieke Leegwater works for Solidaridad. She is the central point of contact for the global Solidaridad Palm Oil Program, which supports farmers with sustainable oil palm cultivation across all major palm oil producing regions. She is a co-chair of the RSPO Standing Committee Smallholders and is a member of the RSPO Complaints Panel. She is also Solidaridad’s focal point for EUDR.

Marieke has extensive experience in the palm oil value chain. Before Marieke joined Solidaridad, she worked for the Dutch Product Board for Margarine, Fats and Oils (MVO), where set up of the Dutch Task Force Sustainable Palm Oil. Marieke holds a master degree in Public Law.
