Tim is responsible for the climate and nature impacts of Proforest’s landscape engagement programmes. His background is in forest management, wildlife conservation, and forest landscape restoration. He holds an MSc in Forestry and Land Management and worked with Proforest in the early 2000s, during the expansion of FSC certification, the development of the HCV framework, and the Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade (FLEGT) legislation.
With WCS in Central Africa, he led efforts to address the impacts of logging on wildlife, promoting better wildlife law enforcement in forestry concessions, and was the climate focal point for WCS’s engagement in the FCPF JREDD+ Sangha Likouala ERP in the Republic of Congo. More recently, within WCS’s Forest and Climate team, he was responsible for WCS’s global programme on forest restoration, managing an international portfolio of restoration initiatives through a partnership with WWF and Birdlife International.
